On the weekend of 17-18 September Azembora is going Konpa!
Konpa is a music genre originating our of Haiti. It has cemented itself throughout the Caribbean and beyond and is also mentioned as an influence by Eduardo Paim the birth father of Kizomba.
Konpa has gained popularity as music played on festivals across Europe both Kizomba/Semba as well as Urbankiz floors. At Azembora we pride ourselves on connecting to the source of our dances and now we offer the opportunity to get some lessons in the Konpa dance.
